Rich, is our Revenue brain and has 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry within an eclectic collection of the UK hotel industry which represents all aspects of the industry. Richard has gathered his revenue management and analytical experience within Hilton Worldwide, Macdonald Hotels, Menzies Hotels, City Inn, Travelodge, Mitchells & Butlers Innkeeper’s Lodge and Premier Inn.

Gary is a highly experienced hospitality brand consultant.

His skillset is simple, he gets brand tonality, believability and contentment.

In previous lifetimes he was brand and creative director for Malmaison, Hotel du Vin, Village Hotels and De Vere Hotels, responsible for overall brand tone of voice, messaging and delivery for a great number of multisite brands across the United Kingdom. He brings the ability to market dining spaces, rooms, spas & leisure clubs, meetings spaces and all manner guest/diner touchpoint on the brand journey.

His latest venture with Steel Hospitality sees this skillset brought to life across many other sectors including finance, people development/mentoring as well as his first love -hospitality.

He has worked extensively with David over many years and the fit of immense commercial experience and foresight, with brand knowledge, creative intuition and great agility makes for an exciting and energetic team.

Ali has over 25 years’ experience in hospitality finance, with specialist knowledge in systems, control and internal audit.  Ali has worked with a variety of hospitality operators from TGI Fridays to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and most recently De Vere Hotels.

Whilst finance and systems may not seem to be the most exciting part of working in hospitality, Ali loves nothing better than helping managers understand the numbers and what they mean for the business, and how a little control goes a long way to running a successful operation.

He specialises in hospitality purchasing cost-reduction packages along with green and renewable projects.  His broad skill set and hands-on approach are invaluable to building and delivering market leading long term trading & supplier relationships for both corporate and independent businesses.

As an HR Director, Karl has international experience with strengths across Europe, APAC and the USA, building and leading high-integrity Human Resources teams and operations with client groups from 100 to in excess of 2500 employees. He has partnered and provided guidance and direction to global leadership teams in hospitality, working with the world’s most admired brands such as Orient-Express, Regent, and Ritz-Carlton.

Known for helping organisations minimise risk in corporate governance and legal compliance, Karl is seen as the HR leader that “gets stuff done” – building trust and making a measurable impact on the balance sheet as well as the people. He is Culture Champion and enjoys taking on the challenging projects others avoid. Thereby effecting behavioural transformation in change-resistant environments, translating desired end results into executable plans – and then delivering.
